What I Wore Today....

It's in the 80's today...so I needed something professional yet airy to get me through the day. I love the Polynesian print Cardigan and the Joelle Cami in Navy from Spring 2008. Both have been my closet favorites since that line came out. I think it's all about wearing something silky shiny + something matte (like a cotton cardigan) to make an outfit complete. I think I look pretty awesome, because I feel pretty awesome in this outfit. I hope you have an equally awesome day too!

It was a tough decision...but I kept the Pebble Belle Satchel. Didn't take too much arm twisting. The Shimmer Glimmer Glitter Cardigan didn't get much play last season (not sure why)--it seemed to go from the new section to the sale section super quick!- this is one of my favorite lightweight cardis, tissue thin with a subtle shine. I wore my bermudas to work (keep in mind, this is the first time I have ever done shorts + work), and had them hemmed because at 5'O", pants need to be hemmed, capris are perfect pants that don't need hemming, cropped capris are actual capris on me, and bermudas...well, they're like cropped capris. LOL. Don't get me wrong, I love being short- people like hugging short people, and patting us on the head when we do something good. :)

Sketchbook Roses Skirt, Eliz Halter and Marjorie Flats by Natedac on Ebay featuring J Crew Clothing

So I wore this skirt to a wedding last September and everyone liked it. I know this because they said so. Back then, I wore it with a Kelly button up 3/4 sleeve shirt in Papaya (which actually looks pink) and paired it off with my Spectator Peep Toe Pumps in Dusty Rose. You couldn't really tell that the shoes didn't totally match the shirt, but it worked for me. This year, I'm kind of at odds with what else to wear with this skirt, especially not having too many places to go where I'll need to be dressed up. I think I'll try wearing this combo to work...

This is such a refreshing skirt. If you love pastels, this skirt promises to love you back. I have only 2, 4, 10 and 12 left, so if you didn't get it...scoot along!

The Belle Satchel is another one of my seasonal favorites. This bag comes in Pebble and Heather Pink. It's tough having both in my possession because ultimately, I must make the motherly decision of giving up one of my babies. I'm leaning towards pebble because I already have the pink in the J.Crew Vachetta Uptown tote (Dusty Rose), which I love!

What I Wore Today....

I got this Victoria Top in a Light Pewter color. It's fabulous. I have so much pewter/metallics in my closet, I swear, I'm going to get some lead poisoning. At least I'll look hot if that happens...haha.

Remember this wonderful jacket? Yes. The Bella Jacket in Heather Charcoal. I toyed with the idea of actually getting one 2 years ago. Because there were so many available online and in the store, it made it difficult to pick ONE. Heather Azalea (hot pink) sold out the quickest (didn't even hit the stores), and the Black and Navy looked too plain, so I opted for the safe choice. It doesn't get as much play because of the Southern California weather, but once in a while, I like to show it some daylight and remind the Bella that it still has a special place in my heart.

Why yes, I'm on Polyvore!

This site is the best thing the internet has ever produced. Remember playing with paper dolls? This is hundred times better. My closet no longer has to throw up on my bed each morning in order for me to choose an outfit. The best part? I can proudly showcase to others that it is possible for me to leave the house in something my mom would be proud of! I heart polyvore.com...like ebay, this is my other addiction. Let's play dress up!

Truly one of my favorite pieces of Fall 2007! I managed to snag one for myself- it's a keeper!

Oh how I love this dress. Mine is an XS, and it hits right above the knee- it has the perfect "Parisian" feel, and goes so well with my vintage violet cardigan. I cannot part with this!
